January 28th-31st

January 31st
This is my next project. We are done having babies, so I am trying to get rid of all the stuff that has been sitting in the guest room closet. A BIG thank you to Stephanie for taking a good chunk of it! :) I hope Mike wasn't too upset. So now I have to decide if I am going to have a garage sale, see if Once Upon a Child will take any of it, sale it at JBF or just donate it. Hope I figure it out soon, because Sean just informed me last week that he wanted to start working out...if you didn't notice, all the clothes are hanging on his weight bench! LOL

January 30th
We had such a nice visit with Terri, Stephanie, Jayson and Jack today! They brought the Velveeta Houseparty to us! Look how creative they were with setting up the display! The dip was yummy, the koolaid was fabulous, the cups were so cool, but the company was the best part!

January 29th
Mr. Independent! Ok so when I tell Ian that I need to finish something before I can make him hot chocolate, I need to remember this picture! I heard him get into his kitchen drawer, but I thought he went back to play with Sean. But then it was too quiet. And this is what I found in the kitchen. I just love him to pieces!

January 28th
Aunt Millie and Uncle Doug came from Oregon for a visit. Ian loved having a teaparty with Aunt Millie. We are so glad they were able to come see us on their way to Jennifer's house.

January 24th-27th

January 27th
Here is a picture of the sunset while we were sitting in the car before Ian's gymnastics class. I really like the silhouette look to it. I tried to edit the red spot in photoshop, but I need more practice. I may continue to play with it until I figure it out :)

January 26th
I am sure you are not supposed to take pictures while you are driving, but I forgot to take my picture of the day. We spent the day at Laura's and I decided to take a picture on our drive home. This is Old Town Sacramento. Not the greatest picture but what can I say...I was driving :)

January 25th
Ian spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house and when we went to pick him up we play at the park for a while. They have this red seat that spins around. Ian wanted to try it out, so I snapped a few pictures. It would have made me sick, but he loved it.

January 24th
Happy Birthday Sean! Sean turned the B-I-G 30 today! Ian went to Grandma and Grandpa's so Sean and I rented movies and had rootbeer floats. I surprised Sean with hostess cupcakes and candles. Now he is officially an old man!

January 20th-23rd

January 23rd
We went to drop off a camera to Rebekah today and we got to spend sometime with both Rebekah and Justin. So, my mom suggested that I get a picture of all her grandkids together. Not bad for a first try! Ian had a great time with his cousins too.

January 22nd
I thought this was just the cutest picture! Sean has been working long hours and Ian has been missing him. So when Sean got home they were playing with Ian's train set. Sean laid down on the floor and Ian wanted to be close to his daddy, so he laid down next to him and just watched the trains go around.

January 21st
I has my MRI today. I was going to have one of the nurses take my picture while I was in the machine, but I left my camera in the waiting room with my mom. So after the (horribly noisy) MRI I ran out to the waiting room in my gown so my mom could take my pic. People must have thought I was crazy. LOL

January 20th
I have been pretty crafty lately! I decided to make my own bulletin board. Now don't look to close because my ribbon is anything but straight! But overall I think it turned out good. And once I get more stuff on it you won't even notice the imperfections...I hope! :)

January 15th-19th

January 19th
I had this unfinished IKEA box sitting around my craft room FOREVER! I had no idea what to do with. Now that I have been organizing my craft room, I decided to decorate it. I actually got the idea from the gallery at scrapbook.com.
Now it holds all the little stuff that has been floating aimlessly around my room...adhesives, tools, markers, brads, punches, etc. I think it turned out pretty good.

January 18th
Today was Aunt Ruth's 91st birthday. Ian and I went over to wish her a happy birthday and have some yummy chocolate cake. When we got there Ian said "Happy Birthday" and Aunt Ruth said "Is today my birthday?" This after bugging my parents to eat the birthday cake for dinner LOL Gotta love her! Here she is blowing out her candle.

January 17th
My new addition to my craft room! I am so excited about this! I had peg board in the other craft room before I moved into the bigger room, but I wasn't sure if I was going to put it up again. Well I got the itch to organize up there so I decided to put it up. I LOVE it! All my Cricut cartridges are up and out of Ian's reach. (he likes to play with them when I am not looking). And I put the 12x12 trays back up too. My room feels so comfy now. I still have lots to do, but this is definitley a start!

January 16th
Laura, Madeline and Gloria came to visit us today. The kids had such a great time playing that Laura and I actually had some uninterrupted adult time! (with only a minor incident with markers on the playroom kitchen and family room wall! LOL) Here is a picture of the girls in the tutus that I bought them. Can you believe they didn't have tutus?!?!?! :)

January 15th
We went with Grandma to return something at Sears and look what they had out front! And of course we couldn't pass up the opportunity to ride on one. Grandma said sometime we can go up to Aunt Millie's and ride one around her yard. Ian was very excited about that!

January 13th-14th

I realize that this is supposed to one picture a day, but I am having a hard time sticking to just one! When I actually make the hard copy of this project I will have to choose only one, but in the mean time enjoy the occasional multiple pic a day!

January 14th
My husband has a beautiful fish tank and I wanted to get some pictures of the fish, but they were not cooperating tonight. So I took some pictures of the other "animals" in the tank. The first picture is a frog spawn. The second picture is a mushroom. And the third picture is a candy cane coral.

January 13th
Ian started gymnastics last Tuesday. I was worried that he wasn't going to like it because he would not participate in the warm up exercises, but this wee he did great! His favorite thing was swinging from the bar. But I was most impressed with his "hand stand"! He was able to do all by himself!

January 9th-12th

I didn't realize how much work this would be! I have to keep reminding myself to take a picture everyday and then I get so far behind on uploading! But I am going to keep plugging away. So here are the next few days...

January 9th
I love this picture! This is my cat, Diablo, keeping warm by the fireplace. I think he likes the fire as much as we do!

January 10th
Uncle Tom, Aunt Vicki and Troy came to visit us! The boys had such a good time playing together. Here is a picture of them playing "air" hockey with pocker chips. LOL I bet that is why Moma is laughing :D

January 11th
I cannot take credit for this piece of photographic art :) Ian found my camera and had a fabulous time taking pictures. After looking at all the pictures he took, I can say he has a eye for feet...his own, daddy's and his robot's!

January 12th
This has to be one of my favorite pictures. Sean was laying down on the family room floor so I could crack his back and Ian made himself comfortable. LOL I guess it is a comfy place to play Super Mario on the Wii!

January 4th-8th

I know I have been slacking on the posts this week, but I have been taking pictures! So, here they are...

January 4th
Here is another picture of my sweet boy. He just got an mp3 player and was listening to it in the car. You can barely see it under his adorable hat. He loves it!

January 5th
I love the sunsets in Lincoln. I swear they are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen!

January 6th

This is a picture I took on the way to my mom and dad's house. It was a foggy day and I love the look of the trees in the winter. I thought it was such a perfect way to capture the day.

January 7th
We were waiting outside for "Moma" to get here and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get some pics! I couldn't decide on just one picture today, so you get two! The first one is Ian hiding behind the bench on the porch so I couldn't take is picture. He is sooooo cute! And the second one is me and my baby boy!

January 8th
Not a very exciting picture today. Actually it is kind of scary. I had a Dr's appointment to check my thyroid today. They found a 2cm nodule in or behind my thyroid. I have to go for an MRI to get a better look at what is going on. So, here is a picture of my MRI referral.

January 3rd

January 3rd
Here is my baby boy growing up before my eyes. He is obsessed with skateboards right now. Of course he can't have one yet...he is only 2! So Daddy took the "trucks" (wheels and metal things LOL) off and now he "tends" (pretends) to ride his skateboard. I think I am in for some big trouble as he gets older!

365 Day Photo Challenge January 1st-2nd

My goal for this year is to take a picture everyday. It can be of anything that peaks my interest, happening around me, or...well just ANYTHING!.. I am excited to see my world through the "eyes" of the camera. Let's see what the year brings.

Thanks to Candace (Countrychirper) on the Cricut MB for this idea.

January 1st
This is one of my favorite things during winter. We have a fire going all day and most of the night. We have gone through so much wood this season already that I am not sure we will have enough to last during the rest of the cold months. Not that California is every really THAT cold. The best thing is that it saves on heating bills too :)

January 2nd
Well I figured that I would go ahead and take some pictures of myself to compare to the end of the year ones. Hopefully we will see a positive change!
